💚 Handcrafted & Perishable Products

Many of our items are:

• perishable
• handcrafted in small batches
• made to order
• unique or one-of-a-kind.

Natural variations in color, texture, scent, shape, and appearance are normal and not considered defects. All sales are final. Please review product descriptions carefully before placing an order.

💚 Pricing & Availability

All prices are listed in U.S. dollars and may change without notice. We reserve the right to:

• modify or discontinue products
• limit quantities
• refuse service to anyone

Prices may differ from in-person sales or third-party platforms.

💚 Order Acceptance

Your order is considered accepted once payment is processed. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order if:

• the product is unavailable
• there is an error in pricing or product information
• we suspect fraudulent activity.

If we cancel an order, you will be notified and refunded.

💚 Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled within 2 hours of purchase by emailing support@lesterfarmshomestead.com.

After this time, ingredients may already be prepared or items may already be in production, and cancellations are no longer possible.

If you ordered the wrong item or forgot to add something:

• if production has not begun, we can adjust your order
• if production has begun, you may place an additional order

We will combine shipping when possible, but additional shipping charges may apply if the combined weight increases the carrier's rate.

💚 Shipping

Shipping rates are calculated directly by the carrier based on weight, distance, and speed. We do not add extra fees.

Once a package has been accepted by the carrier, transit times and delivery conditions are outside our control.

💚 Local Pickup

Local pickup is available for customers in our area. Pickup details are not provided at checkout. We will contact you directly via email or text to arrange a pickup time and location once your order is ready.

Pickup orders must be collected within the agreed-upon timeframe to ensure product freshness and quality.

💚 Cottage Food Law Disclosure

Certain products offered by Lester Farms Homestead, including baked goods and other food items, are produced under Iowa Cottage Food Law in a home kitchen that is not subject to state inspection. These products may contain allergens and are prepared in a facility that also processes common allergens.

By purchasing these items, you acknowledge and accept that:

• they are made in a non-inspected home kitchen
• they may contain or come into contact with allergens
• they are not produced in a commercial or licensed food facility.

💚 Skincare Use & Safety

Our skincare products are handcrafted in small batches with simple, thoughtful ingredients.  Everyone's skin is unique, so results may vary.

Patch Testing

We recommend performing a small patch test before using any new skincare product.  Apply a tiny amount to a discreet area and wait 24 hours to ensure your skin responds well.

Allergies & Sensitivities

Please review the full ingredient list before use, especially if you have known allergies.  Natural ingredients can still cause reactions for some individuals.  If irritation occurs, discontinue use. 

No Medical Claims

Our skincare products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical conditions.  Any descriptions of benefits relate to traditional uses of ingredients or general skincare practices.

Consult a Professional When Needed

If you have concerns about how a product may interact with a medical condition, medication, or specific skin issue, please consult a licensed healthcare provider or dermatologist.

Handmade Variations

Because our products are handmade, slight variations in color, texture, or scent may occur.  These natural differences do not affect product quality.

💚 Returns & Refunds

Due to the perishable and handcrafted nature of our products, all sales are final.

We do not accept returns or exchanges on:

• baked goods
• all skincare products
• soap
• hygiene items
• custom or handmade items

If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact us within 24 hours with photos so we can assist you.

• retrieve your package promptly upon delivery

How we Handle Concerns

If you ever have an issue with an order, please reach out so we can talk it through.  Most concerns can be resolved with a simple conversation.

Mediation First

If we can't resolve a concern through regular communication, both you and our business agree to try good-faith mediation before taking any formal steps.  Mediation will take place in Iowa unless we mutually agree otherwise.  Each party covers its own costs.

Arbitration if Needed

If mediation doesn't resolve the issue, we agree to use binding arbitration as the next step.  Arbitration will be handled by a recognized service in Iowa, and the arbitrator's decision will be final to the fullest extent allowed by law.

No Court Actions (with a small exception)

By purchasing from our website, you agree that disputes will not be taken to court or decided by a jury, except where prohibited by law.  Either party may still bring a qualifying claim to small-claims court.

Limitation of Damages

Our liability for any claim related to your purchase or use of our products is limited to the amount you paid for that specific product.
